Initial conversation
Parents share concerns, developmental history, priorities and relevant background information.
Our approach
The assessment process is designed to understand the child’s strengths, needs and daily routines before goals are recommended.
Care is child-centred, family-informed and focused on useful participation. Therapy is adjusted to the child rather than expecting the child to fit a fixed programme.
Assessment process
Parents share concerns, developmental history, priorities and relevant background information.
The therapist observes and assesses relevant skills using suitable activities and tools.
Results are explained in clear language, including strengths, needs and whether therapy is recommended.
If therapy begins, goals are agreed according to the child’s needs and family priorities.
Progress is reviewed and the plan is adjusted as the child develops.
